Hughes Anniversary Session

Oops. I guess I'm a little behind on blogging again. But it's a new year - perfect time to start anew, right?

Here's an anniversary session I did after Christmas that has hit my all-time top five favorites. Jamie and Wayne were SO easy to work with and their happiness just oozed right into their photos. They were hoping for something warm, fun, serious and playful - and since that is so totally in tune with their personalities, that's exactly what we got. The Cummer Gallery of Art was Jamie's location of choice, and what a perfect spot for this session. It is an incredibly beautiful location that just screams to be photographed, and it was the perfect backdrop for their instruments. Happy 11 years Wayne & Jamie - may you be blessed with many more happy years!!!

Samantha is a refreshing & spirited sweetheart whose personality shines so pure and bright that you just want to bring your daughters around her all the time, hoping they'll grow up to be just like her. She is a blessing and a tribute to our youth! I wish we hadn't gotten rained out so I could have snapped a few more photos...but here is a preview of what we were able to capture.

Well, this blog post is LONG overdue. This session was a while back, but as usual, I'm way behind on my blogging!

This had to be one of my all time favorite sessions. Seriously. It was challenging, unpredictable and just plain beautiful. Braveheart (brown horse) even tried to sniff, maybe eat? my camera a couple times...and he kept sneaking up on me when I was photographing one of the other horses - too funny! I can't wait for their next session!

How much do I just love this girl? Totally. She is pure, beautiful, enthusiastic, grounded and silly. What a privilege to be her friend. Boy - when you tell this girl to prepare for her senior session, she doesn't mess around! What fun to go through all her clothes and accessories! Can't wait for session #2!

My Little Brother

I'm way behind on my blogging so I'm here today to get all caught up! I guess I could start with something a little more recent, but instead I'm going waayyy back to February because that's the event that has been almost constantly on my mind since: My little brother's wedding. *tear*

OK, so if you want to get technical, he's not my blood brother, and if you want to go beyond that and get on a lighter level of technical, he's not even my adopted brother or a "family friend" that I've just known all growing up. In fact, I met him 12 years ago when I started dating my husband. Cameron "adopted" him and his older brother through Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Between looks, personalities, hobbies, love for FSU and obsession with basketball, it was clear they were meant to be brothers. I'm so thankful for these two boys. Argh. I mean men.

I absolutely adore Will and feel quite protective of him. When he told me he was engaged to Pam...well...let's just say that in my eyes, Pam had some really big shoes to fill. If she's not perfect, she just won't "do" at all. Well, Pam is as cute as a button. Pardon the cheesy saying, but she is. And Will lights up around her. How can I not love that???

So here they are at their wedding. Adorable. I cried several times. And I'm so thankful that I was able to be their photographer and not just watch the ceremony, but actually be a participant in their special day. And it's cool to know I have the "in" on the newborn photos when that day should come upon us. =)

Three-Generation Family

I absolutely love this family. I met Chantelle on the first day of Kindergarten for my oldest daughter. We met at the "boo hoo coffee" for emotional moms who were dropping off their child for the first time. They are such a neat family - much more than I could ever blog about. It was an honor to take their photos.

My first festival booth

Eternal Crown will have a booth at Mandarin Christian School's Annual Turkey Fest this Saturday, November 7th. We'll have a temporary "studio" set up where you can take a quick and fun photo with your friends and/or family and receive your prints while you're there.

Turkey Fest is a GREAT family day of fun that is never lacking in excitement for the little ones - booths, games, bounce houses, excellent food, a live band and more...and new this year is a craft vendor section. That's where you'll find us!

Finally Home

Well, we did it! We made the jump! I am now a stay-at-home mommy and business owner. I've known for a long time I needed to do this but I just couldn't take the leap of faith. I loved my job, I loved the money, I loved the "STUFF" I could buy. But I realized in the last year just how much I love my family more and how NOT IMPORTANT all the STUFF really is. My children and my hubby have suffered long enough and now I'm home!!!

I can't even describe the level of pure freedom I feel...and the joy I've felt over the last week when I get up in the morning, fix breakfast and lunch for my family, take them to school (and work) and blow them kisses as they walk away. And know that I will be there to pick them up when school (and work) is over.

I love my family...and my only regret is that it took me so long to realize just how much!
